Status: Delivered

Yay! I got the book. I did not expect to get it today but there it was in my mailbox when I got home. Happy me :-) So, should I start tonight? Yes! I started reading the book. I am the kind of person that reads a book literally from cover to cover. It may take sometime for me to get to the gist of it.

I have yet to finish the Introduction. So far, so good. I like the way of writing. I hope it holds up as I go along. One thing I learned already, it is not going to be easy and its going to take some time if I want to blog for money. Well, I think I have the time. I want to learn how to do it right first. Then, I will think about monetizing it.

I better go back to reading. Goodluck to me :-)

Blog Quest: Kick-off

Maybe I am experiencing midlife crisis. Maybe I am bored. I don't know. It just popped out of my mind one day: I want to become a professional blogger. I am sure there a lot of netizens out there who wants to be one. Here I am. Planning to document my journey. I say "planning" because I am not yet sure where this effort would lead me. If you happen to stumble upon this blog and thinking of riding along, please do and send me your comments and suggestions.

I have always love to read. Write? I have not really put much effort into it. I have existing blogs but I am very inconsistent. I think I need more self-discipline and some kind of inspiration. I am hoping that documenting my journey will help me commit myself to this quest.

First off. I did a little bit of research online about blogging. It is not as straight forward as I initially thought. I need some guidance. So, I bought a book in Amazon - ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income. My initial investment for this quest: $15.38 (2-day free shipping). I should get the book on Friday. Let's see if the book is a good as the reviews.

Next. I want to buy a notebook. Hmmm... maybe I am overdoing it a little bit :-) I already have more than enough computers at home. Maybe a tablet? Ah! I will reward myself with a new notebook or tablet when I finish my quest. It could be perfect timing for the second generation of the Blackberry Playbook.

We just have to wait and see.
